People are questioning the quality of the construction work of the Ganges Path. He says that the Ganga Path was inaugurated from Kanganghat to Didarganj in a hurry in the election year. The foundation of this project was laid on the birth anniversary of Lok Nayak Jayaprakash Narayan on 11 October 2013, due to which it was named JP Ganga Path. In the first phase, 7.5 km road from Digha to Gandhi Maidan was dedicated to the public on 24 June 2022. After this, in the second phase, on 14 August 2023 PMCH to Gaighat, 5.0 km, third phase from Gaighat to Kangan Ghat on 10 July 2024 and Krishna Ghat Sampark Patthan in the fourth phase was inaugurated on 3 October 2024.
