Ukrainian President Jailonsky gave a speech in UN on Wednesday.
Ukrainian President Volodimir Jailonsky addressed the UN Mahasabha (UNGA) on Wednesday. He told the global leaders that stopping Putin is a cheaper way to protect the ports and ships from maritime drone attacks later.
Jailonsky said that Ukraine had to build underground schools and hospitals due to the Russian attack. He questioned global leaders- Russia has put us in this situation, but are you safe from such dangers?
Jailonsky said- Weapons decide who will survive
Jailonsky said that if a country wants peace, then he will have to work on weapons. This is sad, but this is the reality. Neither international law nor cooperation, but weapons decide who will survive.
He also expressed displeasure at the UN Security Council. It has a permanent member and has the right to veto. Jailonsky said- International law does not work completely, unless you have powerful friends who stand firmly for you.
Jailonsky said- every country has its right to protect
Jailonsky said that if Ukraine gets more strong security, then it will show that it is everyone’s right to protect their country. Only a few selected countries are not entitled to this.
He said to the countries trading with Russia- War is affecting many people. Now you decide whether they will help in peace or increase the war by doing business with Russia.
Jailonsky appealed- Do not let Russia increase the war. Do not be silent, oppose it. Support us to protect international rules and peace. People are waiting for action. He thanked US President Trump for Tuesday’s conversation.
