YouTube brought new UI on completion of 20 years, the experience of watching video will change completely

YouTube is now 20 years old. On this occasion, there has been a big change in the user interface. According to the report, soon users will get to see YouTube’s new user interface. After the arrival of this new UI, users will also get a new experience while streaming video on YouTube. Apart from this, many new features have also been rolled out for YouTube. The CEO of the company has also sent special messages to users on completion of 20 years of YouTube.

What did CEO say?

On completion of 20 years of YouTube, YouTube CEO Neil Mohan said that on 23 April 2025, a video was first uploaded on YouTube. Starting as a simple video sharing platform, YouTube has completely changed the ways of culture and our ways of watching videos as well as entertainment creation.

When was the first video uploaded?

The first video on YouTube was uploaded as Me at the Zoo. This 19-second video was uploaded by its co-finance Javed Karim from the zoo of Sen Dago. In this video, Karim is showing elephants present in Ju.

YouTube 5 big milestone

1. More than 20 million videos have been uploaded on YouTube since the launch.
2. At the same time, YouTube Music and YouTube Kids have also completed 10 years.
3. In 2024, YouTube has completed the milestone of 100 million average video comments.
4. Last year, average daily 3.5 billion likes have been found on YouTube.

Changed UI?

On completion of 20 years of video streaming platform, a major change has been seen in the user interface of its video player. It will get pill-shred media controls, in which users will be able to see many options including Play or Paud, Skip, Video Chapters, Timstamps. This new user interface has been shared by many Reddit users. However, users have also reported that the new video player does not have a volume control slider.

New features

In the video streaming platform, which has completed 20 years, users will soon get many new features, in which the creators will get the option to add customized multuvue experience. Apart from this, users will soon get a voice reply feature in the comments so that direct conversion can be done with the creators. At the same time, YouTube is soon to launch a personalized radio station generator named ASK Music. Also, premium members will be given many new playback controls in this platform.
