Youth dies in police custody in UP, family members accused of third degree torture – man dies after interrogation in etc.

A surprising case has come to light from Etah district of Uttar Pradesh, where a 23 -year -old youth died a few hours after police custody. The deceased has been identified as Satyaveer Kumar, who was a resident of Chandrabhanpur village. The police called her for questioning in the case of a girl missing in March on Friday.

Police claim that Satyaveer was released after questioning and he committed suicide by going home but the family is rejecting this claim. The victim’s family says that Satyaveer was given a third degree torture at the police station, due to which he was seriously injured and died shortly after returning home.

What did the family accuse the policemen?

The family has demanded strict action against the policemen concerned. After this, an FIR has been lodged against Sub-Inspector Surendra Singh, Constable Shahid Ali and three unidentified policemen.

The district SP Shyam Narayan Singh said that the accused sub-inspector and constable have been sent to the police line and an Additional Superintendent of Police Rank officer has been given the responsibility to investigate the whole matter.

District Magistrate Prem Ranjan Singh has also formed a special investigation team in view of the seriousness of the incident. Police say that only after the post -mortem report comes, the exact cause of death will be known. CCTV footage of the police station will also be investigated. In view of the sensitivity of the situation, the administration has deployed additional police forces around the deceased’s house.
