Yogi Government Made a Record Basti District Top Balrampur Pratapgarh Shravasti Hardoi Etah Deoria and Jaunpur Ann

The Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh has recorded another major achievement in its name. The children of poor and deprived sections will no longer have to depend on anyone for education. The government has so far provided free admission in private schools in the state under the Right to Education Act (RTE). This step is becoming strong link towards social justice along with making the future of children bright.

According to the data of Basic Education Department, a total of 1,85,675 seats were allotted under RTE in the state, out of which 68 percent of the seats have been completed. This figure shows that the government’s policy is not only limited to papers, but its effect is also visible at the ground level.

Four stages of admission campaign
This entire campaign was carried out in four stages in a transparent manner. More than 3.34 lakh applications were received in this, out of which about 2.52 lakh applications were approved. Then 1.85 lakh children were allotted private schools and so far the admission of 1.26 lakh children has been completed.

Districts like Basti, Lalitpur, Firozabad showed great performance
Basti district was at the forefront of this scheme, where 94% of seats were filled. Lalitpur and Firozabad also performed well with 93% admission. There are also districts like Balrampur, Pratapgarh, Shravasti, Hardoi, Etah, Deoria and Jaunpur where children got admission from 88% to 92%.

‘Government’s objective: Every child gets the right to education’
Basic Education Minister Sandeep Singh said that these are not just figures, it is the expectations of poor families who will now be able to see their children becoming doctors, engineers or officers. He said, “Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the government is ensuring that every child should get the right to quality education, whatever his social or economic condition is.”

What is RTE?
The Right to Education Act i.e. RTE (Right to Education) came into force in 2009. Under this, there is a provision to provide free and compulsory education to all children from 6 to 14 years. Under this law, private schools have to reserve their 25% seats for the children of the economically weaker section (EWS) and the disadvantaged group (DG).
