US Vice President JD Vance expressed hope that one day his Hindu wife Usha Vance will convert to Christianity after being influenced by the Catholic Church. At a program in Mississippi, an Indian woman had asked him whether Usha would ever come to Jesus Christ?
To this Vance replied that she now goes to church with him most Sundays. He wants his wife to go to church one day for the same reasons he goes to church. Vance said that he believes in Christianity and he is sure that his wife also believes in it.
Vance also said that his wife’s belief in another religion does not cause any problem for him. JD Vance converted to Catholicism in 2019. Earlier he considered himself an atheist. Vance and his wife were married in 2014.
Vance has 3 children (2 sons and 1 daughter). They have been brought up in a Christian manner. He also studies in a Christian school.

Trump ends auto extension of work permit, new ban rules come into effect from today, impact on 4 lakh Indians
US President Donald Trump has imposed a new ban on migrants. Now there will be no automatic work permit extension for migrant workers. From October 31, EAD i.e. Employment Authorization document will have to be submitted for work permit extension.
This order is likely to affect 4 lakh Indians. EAD is issued by the worker’s company. If the worker has come for 3-4 years, there was auto extension every year. Now extension will be available on company EAD.
Immigrants coming to the US on H-1B, Green Card, L-1B (company transfer), O (talent visa) or P (event base visa) will not be affected by the new EAD rules. They will continue to get extensions.
Biden had given a grace period of 540 days even if EAD was not given to those with work permits till 2024. Migrant workers could find a new job during this period, but now the Trump government has ended this grace period.
