Former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina spoke to the media for the first time since her coup last year. She told news agency Reuters that she is living freely in Delhi, but wants to return home.

Hasina said that she will not return to Bangladesh until the ban on her party Awami League is lifted. He also warned that if his party cannot contest the elections, millions of supporters will not vote.

He said- Banning Awami League is injustice. The next government needs electoral legitimacy. Lakhs of people are with our party. If they are prevented from voting, how will democracy function?

Hasina said that she is not appealing to her supporters to vote for any other party. She hopes that understanding will be shown and Awami League will be allowed to contest the elections. However, he did not tell whether his representatives were holding any secret talks with the Yunus government.

Hasina rejected all the allegations against her and said that this was an act of political vendetta. I was not even given a chance to defend myself in the Kangaroo Court. I never ordered the use of lethal force.

Hasina said that Awami League will remain in Bangladesh politics, whether in power or in opposition. This is not a question of him or his family, but of the future of the country. His son Sajeeb Wazed lives in America. He had said last year that he can take over the party if needed. But Hasina said that no one person or family runs the country. Constitutional rule and stability are necessary.

Nigerian Nobel laureate writer Wole Soyinka’s US visa cancelled, had compared Trump to dictator Idi Amin

Nigerian Nobel-winning writer Wole Soyinka’s US visa has been cancelled. This action was taken after he compared US President Donald Trump to Ugandan dictator Idi Amin.

Soyinka said in a press conference on Tuesday that he was very happy with this decision. He thanked the American Embassy and said that he had no desire to go to America.

He said that I am banned from America. Whoever wants to call me there, do not waste your time.

Soyinka said that if circumstances change, he may consider going to America, but will not take the initiative himself. He said that I don’t need anything there.

91-year-old Soyinka has taught in American universities like Harvard and Cornell. His new book ‘Chronicles from the Land of the Happiest People on Earth’ (2021) is a satire on Nigeria’s corruption. He is known for his famous play ‘Death and the King’s Horseman’.

Pakistan said- India wants to embroil us in a small war, Taliban is helping

Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has said that India wants to keep his country continuously engaged in small-scale conflicts, so that there is pressure on Pakistan’s security and stability.

He claimed that the Taliban government of Afghanistan is also helping India in this strategy.

He said this in a program of Pakistani channel ‘Geo News’ on Tuesday night.

Asif said that the Afghan Taliban government has no right to hold official talks with Pakistan as it does not control the entire Afghanistan.

According to him, in many areas local groups take decisions themselves and the Taliban government is unsuccessful in stopping them.

Just hours after these statements, Pakistan’s Information Minister announced that the ongoing peace talks between Pakistan and the Afghan Taliban have failed.

In fact, in recent times there have been many clashes between the armies of the two countries on the border areas.

Pakistan has alleged that terrorist groups like Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan are getting shelter and support from the Afghan border. While the Taliban government says that the Pakistani army repeatedly fires from across the border.

Ibtisam Ilahi Zaheer, a close associate of Mumbai attack mastermind Hafiz Saeed and general secretary of Pakistan’s Islamic organization Markazi Jamiat Ahle Hadith, landed at Shah Maqdoom Airport in Rajshahi, Bangladesh on 25 October 2025.

The security agencies were shocked by his sudden visit. Officials of the local Islamic organization Al Jamia As Salifa were present to welcome him, who hosted him at their campus in Naudapara.

Zaheer then went to districts bordering India like Nachole, Rangpur, Lalmunirhat and Nilphamari in Chapainawabganj district, where Zaheer held several religious meetings in local mosques. This area is about 20-25 km from the Indian border.

In these meetings, Zaheer created controversy by saying – ‘Jews and Christians cannot be friends of Muslims.’ According to reports, he reiterated his call to kill those who leave Islam. This statement was on the lines of his old controversial speech given in 2012.

Yunus government gave free hand, second visit only in 2025 Bangladesh now seems to be becoming a ‘new base of action’ for Pakistani radicals. This is the second visit of Hafiz Saeed’s aide Ibtisam Ilahi Zaheer after the arrival of Muhammad Yunus’ interim government in August 2024; The first took place in February 2025.

This time the visit coincides with Pakistan’s Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Sahir Shamshad Mirza arriving in Dhaka with a six-member delegation. The focus of both the visits is on the India-Bangladesh border, especially the Siliguri corridor.

The Yunus government is being accused of pro-Pak policy and giving immunity to foreign radicals, due to which the minority community is unsafe.
