‘Without Virat-Rohit, India cannot win the 2027 World Cup’, big claim of former Indian legend

For some time, there is discussion going on about the future of former captain Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. Both the legends played ODI series in Australia after the Champions Trophy and performed well. Rohit also scored a century in the third ODI. Now on Sunday, Virat Kohli also scored a century in the first ODI against South Africa. After this, former Indian opener Kris Srikkanth made a big claim. He said that without Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, India cannot win the 2027 ODI World Cup.

Rohit and Virat’s place in the World Cup has been confirmed – Srikanth

Srikkanth said on his YouTube channel, “Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are playing at a different level. Without these two, the plans for the 2027 World Cup will not succeed. You need Rohit at one end and Virat at the other. No questions should be asked on this.”

He further said that this partnership in Ranchi had mentally destroyed South Africa. Srikkanth said, “If Rohit and Kohli bat for 20 overs, the opposition team loses. This is what happened against South Africa. They were literally out of bat.”

Former Indian opener Chris Srikkanth also emphasized that despite playing only one format, seeing the commitment and fitness of Rohit and Virat, all doubts should be gone forever. He says, “He has worked very hard. It is not easy to maintain this kind of mentality while playing only one format. As far as I am concerned, he has secured his place for the 2027 World Cup. We cannot win without him.”
