Dr. Dushyant says, ‘Even if you are drinking hot tea, it can cool your bones. It may sound strange but there is a reason behind it. They say that as soon as winter arrives, we start drinking too much tea and coffee to keep ourselves warm. On the other hand, in this season we reduce water intake due to which the body starts getting dehydrated due to which the cartilage between the knees (the soft layer that acts like a cushion between two bones) starts drying up. This increases stiffness in the joint and pain is felt more due to the bones rubbing against each other. In such a situation, it is important to drink tea and coffee in balance in winter so that the body remains warm and there is no excessive pressure on the bones.

Dr. Chauhan says that you must drink tea and coffee in cold weather, but make a rule that you will definitely drink water before drinking them. This keeps your joints moisturized and healthy.
