Windows 10 laptops of only Rs 9,999 launched in India

RDP, a company making IT hardware and mobility device from Hyderabad, launched RDP Thinbook Ultra Slim Laptop on Wednesday. The price of this laptop has been kept at Rs 9,999.

This laptop with 14.1 inch screen runs on Windows 10 Home Operating System. And the company claims that it is India’s most affordable laptop with this price.

The laptop is created in association with ecosystem giant Microsoft and Intel. RDP says that the Thinbook aims to reach the entry-level customers who are looking for an affordable device.

RDP Thinbook weighs 1.4 kg and has an Intel Atom X5-Zade 8300 processor. This laptop has 2 GB RAM. Inbuilt storage is 32 GB which can be increased via microSD card (up to 128 GB). This laptop is equipped with 14.1 inch HD (1366×768 pixels) LED backlit display. The laptop has a 10000 mAh lithium-polymer battery, which the company claims that it will run for 8.5 hours.

Telangana Information and Broadcasting Minister K.T. Rama Rao launched this laptop. He also promised the company to cooperate in making laptops. According to the company, there are 30,000 to 40,000 devices in this financial year.

The company says that despite the low price, no compromise has been made in the feature of RDP Thinbook. This laptop can be used for education and all basic and other applications.

The company also plans to launch RDP Thinbook variants with more powerful specifications in the coming time. Which was designed in Hyderabad and built in Taiwan.

Apart from this, the company also introduced several other affordable products. These include 8 inch Gravity Tablet and 10.1 inch Thinbook 2-in-1 laptop, Thinbook Convertible, PlugPC. Intel processor has been given in all these. According to the company, it has so far invested $ 7-8 million while in the last financial year it received a $ 4 million revenue.
