Who is Nandini Kashyap? Assamese actress arrested in hit and run case

Assamese actress Nandini Kashyap has been arrested in the ‘Hit and Run’ case on Wednesday. A 21 -year -old man has died in this accident. Guwahati Police Commissioner (Traffic) Jayant Sarathi Bora said that the actress was detained on Tuesday and was arrested at around 1.30 pm.

CCTV footage of the accident revealed that the student right of Nalbari Polytechnic Institute was crushed by a fast SUV. Eyewitnesses claimed that Nandini Kashyap did not stop to help the victim, but ran away.

Who is Nandini Kashyap?

• Nandini Kashyap belongs to Guwahati, Assam. He did his early studies from Faculty Higher Secondary School in Amingaon, Guwahati.
• After this, he graduated from Science and Technology University in Meghalaya.
• According to Nandini’s Facebook handle, she is active in the film industry since 2018.
• He was recently seen in director Roopak Gogoi’s film ‘Rudra’.
• In the film, he won a lot of popularity by playing the role of Surabhi. Nandini Kashyap’s film was also a hit at the box office.
• Along with this, Nandini is also very popular on social media. He has more than 52.5 thousand followers on Instagram.

Accident from actress’s SUV
DCP Bora told PTI language- ‘We have presented them in court and have sought a five-day police remand. Now we are waiting for the court order. Borah said that the accident occurred in Dakkhingaon area early Friday, when an SUV which was allegedly driving the actress, hit a two -wheeler.

Death of a person who died of accident
The DCP further said- ‘Samiul Haq, who was driving a two-wheeler, was seriously injured. He was taken to Guwahati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for treatment. From there he was taken to Apollo Hospital. However, he died yesterday (on Tuesday). The DCP said that the actress was not named in the initial complaint. He was called for questioning the next day of the accident.

Nandini fined several times for fast speed
He said- ‘There were first bailable streams in the case. However, after the death of the victim, we added non-bailable sections in the case and arrested him. Kashyap’s car has been fined several times for high speed and many invoices have been deducted in different districts.
