Whatsapp is no longer the app to send text and emoji. The company is constantly making it more visual and expressive and its new music sticker feature is another step in this direction. Now users can also add a music of their choice with photos or videos on Whatsapp status, that too directly from inside the app. Earlier, users had to use a video editor or third-party app for this, but now this process has become very simple. This new option to add music acts like Instagram stories or facebook reels, but has been fully fitted in the UI of WhatsApp.
The feature was first seen in March 2024 with Whatsapp beta version 2.24.x, when some beta testers began to see a new music icon on the status editing screen. At that time it was added to the Test channel of Whatsapp as A/B testing. After this, Meta started rolling this feature officially in late May 2024. In the initial phase it was made available to Android users and now iOS users have also started getting this feature. The company did not announce any major announcement. In such a situation, if you have not tried this feature yet, then we are telling you in detail about it.
