According to the Meteorological Department, on March 14, the sky will usually be cloudy with the possibility of light rain in the plains of northwest India. Light to moderate rains and peaks are expected to occur at some places in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, states of North Eastern India, sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim. The weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the country. On Wednesday, Barmer, Rajasthan recorded a maximum temperature of 41.2 degrees Celsius, which is 7.7 degrees above normal.
