The IMD has today issued an orange alert of heavy to heavy rains in Dehradun, Nainital, Champawat, Udham Singh Nagar, Bageshwar and parts of Tehri district. Schools of Dehradun, Pauri, Tehri and Haridwar will still be holiday.
The condition of the states of North East
The Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of light to moderate rain at several places between 4 to 9 August in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura. Heavy rains can also occur in some places. There is a possibility of heavy rains in Jharkhand on August 4 while in some areas of Bihar from 4 to 9 August. Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim may receive heavy rains between August 4 to 9.
