‘New law brought with good intention’

The Rajasthan government has said that the new law was brought with very good intention. This law, made after detailed discussion and parliamentary process, resolves all statutory concerns. Those who have filed a petition against this law are turning their eyes with the ground truths. Due to the old law, the states had to face many problems. Those problems are now overcome.

‘Misuse of Section 40 of Old Law’ concern ‘

It is also said in the application that misuse of Section 40 of the old law was a matter of concern. She used to give the stream Waqf Board the power to claim any property by calling it a vaqf. Now the condition of issuing public information has been placed before any change in the record of land revenue. This will enable control over arbitrary claims on properties.

The four states have opposed the plea of the petitioners that the Waqf Amendment Act is against the Constitution. States have said that this is a law to improve the system and bring clarity in the process. Apart from the Waqf Board, the interests of ordinary people have also been taken care of. This law does not discriminate against anyone.
