Vodafone Idea Recharge Plan Costly: The trend of tariff hike by telecom service provider companies continues in the year 2025. Now Vodafone Idea (Vi) has increased the price of its Rs 1999 prepaid plan and not by a small increase, it has been increased by Rs 250. Now Vi’s plan of Rs 1999 has become Rs 2249. In this way, Vodafone has given a big shock to its customers taking annual plans. According to Vi, it had become necessary to do so and the company was forced to do so because the current rates were not sustainable.
This news has come according to the report of Telecom Talk and according to this, Vi provides 100 prepaid plans to its customers, out of which customers get voice, data and SMS benefits through the annual plan. Now that the Rs 1999 plan has become Rs 2249, some additional benefits are also going to be given to the customers in it.
Vodafone Idea Rs 1999 plan
In the Rs 1999 plan, customers get unlimited voice calls, 3600 SMS and 24 GB or 36 GB data (depending on the circle) with a validity of 365 days. After the data is exhausted, a charge of 50 paise per MB is taken. The effective cost of this plan is Rs 5.40 per day and now this plan has been reduced to Rs 2249 with the same validity of 365 days.
Vodafone Idea plan of Rs 2249
In the Rs 2249 plan, customers get unlimited voice calls, 3600 SMS and 30 GB (6 GB extra) or 40 GB (4 GB extra) data (depending on the circle) with a validity of 365 days. After the data is exhausted, a charge of 50 paise per MB is taken. The effective cost of this plan comes to Rs 6.16 per day.
The circles with 30GB data are-
Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Chennai, Delhi, Gujarat, Haryana, Karnataka, Kerala, Kolkata, Maharashtra and Goa, Madhya Pradesh, Mumbai, Punjab, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu (except Chennai), Eastern Uttar Pradesh, Western Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal.
The circles with 40GB data are-
Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, North East and Odisha.
Vi also has annual recharge plan like Airtel
Vodafone Idea’s Rs 2249 plan is now similar to Airtel’s Rs 2249 plan and it offers unlimited calls, 3600 SMS and 30 GB data with a validity of 365 days. Airtel’s Rs 2249 plan offers some additional benefits like Perplexity Pro AI and free Hello Tunes. With this amendment, Vi’s annual voice centric plan has become more expensive by Rs 250 but it is getting some extra data.
