Virendra Sachdeva on Arvind Kejriwal: Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva has attacked the Arvind Kejriwal government fiercely on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar. He said that in the last 78 years, if a government has hurt Baba Saheb’s dreams the most, then it is Kejriwal’s government. Sachdeva alleged that Kejriwal only talked about the Dalits and the exploited classes, but did not do anything for them.
“Photos put up, not worked”
Sachdeva taunted that Kejriwal hung pictures of Babasaheb in the secretariat, but did not show any interest in implementing the schemes made for Dalits and the poor. He said that the Kejriwal government did not take any concrete steps to improve the Dalit settlements or the education of their children.
‘Money was allocated, but no expenditure’
Presenting some figures, the BJP president said that between 2020 and 2024, the Kejriwal government kept a budget of Rs 260 crore for Dalit settlements, but spent only 121 crores. Where did the rest of the money go? Sachdeva says that Kejriwal blew up his “Sheeshamahal” and ministers’ offices.
‘Plans were made, but only on paper’
Sachdeva mentioned three schemes, which the Kejriwal government started in the name of Babasaheb:
1. Jai Bhima Chief Minister Pratibha Vikas Yojana (for Scheduled Caste students): Rs 180 crore was kept for this, but only 4.4 crores spent
2. Jai Bhim Yojana (for minority, backward and poor students): 250 crores budget, but spent only 4.2 crores.
3. Chief Minister Vidyarthi Pratibha Yojana: Budget of 461 crores, but only 32.2 crores spent.
Sachdeva questioned why only 40.80 crores out of a total of Rs 891 crore were spent? Where did the rest of the money go?
Kejriwal replies- Sachdeva
Sachdeva directly questioned Kejriwal that he should come forward and tell the Dalit, minority and poor sections of Delhi that the money that was kept for the education and better life of his children, where did he go? He said that Babasaheb had dreamed of education and equality, but Kejriwal used his name only to take votes.
What is the whole matter?
Sachdeva says that the Kejriwal government only pretended for Dalits and exploited classes in 10 years. Hiding behind hoardings and photographs, he neither improved Dalit settlements, nor did anything to give good education to their children. The BJP president called it “deception” with Baba Saheb’s dreams.
Question on Baba Saheb’s birth anniversary
Today, when the whole country is celebrating Baba Saheb’s birth anniversary, Sachdeva said that this is the time to answer Kejriwal. The people of Delhi want to know why the schemes that were made for the future of their children were reduced to papers?
He said that Babasaheb had a dream that every class should get equal, education. Can the people of Delhi not ask for the rights that the schemes made for them take to the ground?
