Vijender Gupta Write a Letter Chief Secretary Officials IGNOOing IGNORE MLAS and MPS Letters Ann

Delhi Politics: The Delhi Legislative Assembly Speaker has written a letter to the Chief Secretary, GNCTD (GNCTD) and raised the matter that letters, phone calls and messages of the members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAS) and MPs (MPS) are being ignored by the authorities. This issue has been taken seriously by the Chief Secretary and taking immediate action, strict instructions have been issued to all departments. The government has made it clear that matters related to legislators and MPs should be given priority and their letters and requests should be given appropriately.

Strict instructions for officers, action will be taken on negligence

The Chief Secretary reminded all departments and officials that the protocol is mandatory to communicate with MLAs and MPs and to prefer their requests. In this regard, the guidelines issued by the General Administration Department (GAD) of GNCTD (GAD) and the Department of Personnel and Training (DOPT) of the Government of India have been sent again, so that the officials can read and implement them correctly. The government has clearly stated that if an officer does not follow these instructions, disciplinary action will be taken against him. It has also been instructed that no MLA or MP should not get such a complaint again.

The government has made it clear that the officials who ignore the letters and calls of MLAs and MPs will have to bear strict consequences. The Chief Secretary said, “It is the responsibility of the administration to take the MLAs and MPs seriously by the public, and it is the responsibility of the administration. If any officer negligence in this matter, it will be negatively recorded in his annual assessment report (APAR).” The government has said that the officials will have to ensure that the public representatives are listened to, their requests are given attention and resolved in a timely manner.

The Chief Secretary clarified that from now on, a nodal officer will be appointed to communicate with MLAs and MPs in every department, so that their complaints and requests can be given priority. The government has warned all the officials that if they do not follow these instructions, strict disciplinary action will be taken against them.

The Chief Secretary said, “It is our priority to maintain the honor of the public representatives and find a quick solution to their grievances. The officials should not understand that they can ignore MLAs and MPs. Now there will be no relaxation in this matter.” The Delhi government has given two blunt messages to the officials – ignoring the legislators and MPs will no longer be tolerated.
