Various rallies to be held in the next two weeks of Tamilga Vatri Kazhagam (TVK) chief Vijay in Tamil Nadu have been temporarily postponed. TVK gave this information on Wednesday (October 01, 2025).
In Karur, 41 people were killed and more than 60 people were injured in a stampede at a rally held on September 27 under the leadership of TVK chief Vijay. Vijay started ‘meet people’ initiative on Saturday and till now he has visited Tiruchirappalli, Namakkal and Karur.

In a post on the party’s official social media handle, pointing to the Karur tragedy, it was said, ‘We are deeply sorrow and regret on the death of our 41 brothers. In this situation, the proposed programs of the next two weeks of our leader (Vijay) are being temporarily postponed. The revised details of these programs will be released later.

Vijay said that the truth of the incident would also be revealed soon and indicated that he is ready to face action. He said, ‘You can do anything with me.’ Vijay said this at a time when the police have registered a case against his party partners in connection with the stampede in West Karur district of Tamil Nadu on 27 September.
