He completed his century in just 36 balls and was eventually out after playing an explosive innings of 190 runs in 84 balls. During this period, 16 fours and 15 sixes came from his bat. His strike rate was 226.19.

Yusuf Pathan’s record broken

This century of Vaibhav Suryavanshi is the second fastest century from India in List-A cricket. Only Anmolpreet Singh has scored a faster century than him, who scored a century in 35 balls for Punjab in 2024.

In this innings, Vaibhav hit 15 sixes and equaled the record of hitting second most sixes in an innings of Vijay Hazare Trophy. Earlier in 2022, Narayan Jagadishan had also hit 15 sixes against Arunachal Pradesh.
