On Sunday, a second complaint has been filed against Vijay Devarakonda under the SC/ST Act. It is alleged that at the pre-release event of retro in May, he made objectionable remarks on the tribal community in a statement. After this, the Tribal Committee has filed a complaint against him.
The complaint lodged by the State President of Tribal Committee, Nannavata Ashok Kumar Nayak alleges that Vijay Devarkonda has insulted the tribal community by making objectionable comments in the pre-relief event of the film Retro. This complaint has been lodged at Rayadugram police station in Sibrabad.
Earlier, in May, Advocate Lal Chauhan had filed a written complaint against Vijay at SR Nagar Police Station. He also attached screenshots of Retro’s pre-release event video in the copy. There is also a copy of reports published by the media as evidence in the complaint.

What was the statement of Vijay Devarakonda?During the pre-release event of the film Retro in May, Vijay spoke on the Pahalgam terror attack. During this, he said-

Vijay Devarkonda has apologized for dispute
He was severely criticized after Vijay’s statement came out of the event. The actor publicly apologized as the dispute escalated. He wrote in the apology shared on social media, ‘I have come to know that some people have expressed their concern over the comment I made during the retro audio launch event. I want to say honestly that there was no intention of hurting or targeting any community, especially Scheduled Tribes. I respect him deeply and consider him an integral part of our country.
‘I was speaking about unity how India is one. Our people are one and how we should move forward together. ‘
He wrote, ‘In which world I will do this, when we urge to remain united as a country, deliberately discriminate against any group of Indians, whom I consider to be my family, like my brother. I used the word ‘tribe’ in historical and dictionary sense. Which desires the time of centuries ago, when globally was organized in the Human Society tribes and clans, who were often in conflict. ‘
In his clarification, Vijay has also explained the meaning of the tribe according to the English dictionary. He said, ‘According to the English dictionary,’ tribe ‘means-‘ a social division in the traditional society which consists of a family or community associated with social, economic, religious or blood relations, which have a similar culture and dialect. If any part of my message is misunderstood, then I apologize to my heart.
