America’s Vice President JD Vance has given clarification on Friday (October 31, 2025) after his wife Usha Vance’s statement regarding religious conversion. Vice President JD Vance said that Usha has no intention of converting to Christianity.
This clarification from the US Vice President comes two days after JD Vance, while addressing an event, expressed his sentiment that his Hindu wife Usha would one day convert to Christianity.

JD Vance shared a post in this regard on social media platform X on Friday (October 31, 2025). In the post, JD Vance said, ‘She is not a Christian and has no intention of converting, but like many people in interfaith marriages or relationships, I hope that one day she will see things my way.’ He said, ‘Still, I will continue to love her, support her and talk to her about faith, life and everything else, because she is my wife.’
Vice President JD, while defending his statement given on Wednesday (October 29, 2025), said that being a public figure, people are naturally curious and he did not want to avoid this question. He said, ‘I am a public figure and people are very curious and I was not going to avoid this question.’

Answering this question candidly, Vance had said, ‘Usha goes to church with me on most Sundays. As I’ve said to him and I’ve said it publicly and I’ve said it to my 10,000 closest friends as well, yes, I honestly want this because I believe in the Christian gospel and I want my wife to see it the same way one day.
He said, ‘But if she does not do so then God says that every person has the right to wish freely and hence it is not a problem for me.’
