Users buy the most in India, this model of iPhone, big disclosure in new report

Apple is launching a new generation of its iPhone. A new report has come out before Apple’s launch event, claiming that Indian users prefer to buy the most iPhone model. Tata Group’s retail company Croma has released the report. In this study, between September 2024 and August 2025, the brand law is told between users.

According to the study, every fifth customer who bought an iPhone in India is exchanging his old model i.e. every 5th user who bought the iPhone removes his old phone into the exchange. Not only this, according to this study, in India, the number of users buying the base model of iPhone is more than the Pro model.

Base models buy the most

According to CROMA study, 86% stake in the total cell of iPhone is base model. Only 14% iPhone users are buying Pro models. From September to August 2025 last year, users have bought the most iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16E. Users have been trending towards small size iPhones. At the same time, the number of users buying iPhone 16 Plus and iPhone 16 Pro Max is 12.5%, that is, people with big screen size are buying less.

128GB storage is the first choice

Croma says that this study has been prepared on the basis of preference of users buying iPhones in India. At the same time, talking about storage, most of the users are buying the base i.e. 128GB variants. One-third of users who buy iPhones in India are preferring to buy storage variants with 128GB. At the same time, the number of users buying 256GB variants is 24.4%. The number of users buying iPhones with 512GB and 1TB storage is only 1%.

It has also been revealed in this study that users who buy iPhone prefer to buy the most black color models. Since September last year, 26.2 percent of users have bought black color models. At the same time, the number of people buying blue colored iPhones has been 23.8%. Apart from this, white color models are 20.2%.
