Donald Trump has not been able to pass the bill related to funding to run his government’s functioning.
Shutdown continues in America for the second day today. President Donald Trump could not pass the bill that funded the government in the Senate on Wednesday.
Many unnecessary government work has come to a standstill, due to which about 7.5 lakh government employees have been sent to the leave (furls). Of these, 3 lakhs can also be trimmed.
Voting took place on two bills related to funding in the Senate late Wednesday night. The first Democrats’ funding bills were voted, in which they wanted to include demands related to health services. 46 votes were cast in its favor and 53 votes in protest.
At the same time, the second voting Republican’s Stop Gap Funding Bill took place, which could not pass on Tuesday. For the second time too, 55 votes were cast in support of the bill and 45 votes in protest. 60 votes were needed to get it passed.
There was a fierce debate between Republican and Democrat MPs during voting on the funding bill on Tuesday-Thursday in the Senate.
Trump needs Democrats support for bill pass
There are 53 Republicans, 47 Democrats and 2 independent MPs in the 100 -member Senate. Both independents voted in support of the bill. Trump’s Republican Party was required to support opposition Democrats MPs, but Democrats voted against the bill.
Debate: Parties blamed each other for shutdown
- Majority Leader John Theun- Democrats bowed down to their radical leftist supporters and closed the federal government. Army, border petrol agents and air traffic controllers are working without salary. Democrats have taken American people hostage. They feel that this will benefit them politically.
- Minority Leader Chak Shumar- Donald Trump and Republican have pushed us towards Shutdown. They refuse to protect US health care. Republicans will not be able to threaten the Democrats to retreat from their health care demands.
- Speaker Mike Johnson- All this could be completely avoided. Democrats should pass the same simple funding bill which was passed in the house. The government is open or reopening is completely in their hands.
Shutdown starts, now what will happen next
After the government shutdown in Washington, the board of Close is in front of the National Archives.
In America, the government has to pass its budget every year. If the Parliament does not agree on the budget, then the funding bill does not pass and the money received by the government stops.
Because of this, some government departments and services do not get money. Non-essential services are discontinued. This is called the government shutdown.
The Republican Party is preparing to vote on the fundling bill once again in the Senate late tonight. Republic leaders have said that this bill will be introduced daily until the Democrats support the bill.
Trump blamed Democrats for this shutdown. They have already threatened to get government employees out of their jobs. The US has a government shutdown after 2019. Earlier, there was a 35 -day shutdown during Trump’s tenure.
Could not agree on health care program
Obama was stunned by both major parties of America, Democrat and Republican with the Health Care subsidy program. Democrats wanted to increase the subsidy of health care (health insurance).
Republican feared that if the subsidy was increased, the government would need more money to spend, which would affect the rest of the government work.
President Trump and Democratic leaders held a meeting at the White House on Monday to stop the shutdown, but no result was found.

Trump benefits or disadvantages from shutdown
During the shutdown, the Trump Administration can decide the necessary and non-essential services through the Office of Management and Budget (OMB).
With this, they can make Democrat-backed programs such as education, environment, health subsidy, while defense and immigration can be given the status of necessary status. Trump himself has said that there will be many good things from the shutdown.
A large number of people can be fired from the job due to shutdown. In 2025, there has already been a cut of 3 lakhs in federal jobs. This is part of Trump’s policy.
Trump is used to blame it on democrats. The White House directed the Federal agencies to hold the Democrats responsible, which could be a violation of morality laws.
Short shutdown will benefit Trump more, as they can push their agenda forward, but financial loss can tarnish their image due to prolonged stretching.
Trump believes that this would strengthen his base, as in the 2018-19 shutdown. (File photo)
Spending season starts from October 1 in America
America’s fiscal year i.e. the year of spending starts from October 1. This is a kind of economic year of the government, in which it plans to spend its money and make a budget.
During this time the government decides where to invest money, such as in army, health or education. If the new budget does not pass till this date, then the government work stops. This is called shutdown.
What will affect America with shutdown?
After the government shutdown in the US, the government will no longer have money for expenses. This will stop all other expenses from salary to government employees.
Due to shutdown, the US government will have to cut its expenses. However, emergency services such as medical service, border security and air services will continue.
The US has shutdown 20 times due to the funding bill being stuck in the last 50 years. The government had to face a shutdown 3 times during Trump’s last term.
The 2019 shutdown continued for 35 days, with a loss of Rs 25,000 crore to the American economy.
Shutdown’s famous cases in America
- In 2013, the 8,891 km long Canadian border with the US was just 1 person. It was the responsibility of cleaning the entire border area. All the rest of the employees were sent on leave.
- USAI’s soldiers (mostly first and second world war) have been killed in other countries. These are buried in 24 cemeteries around the world. Of these, 20 are in Europe. The US government bears the cost of taking care of them. All these cemeteries were closed when shutdown in 2013.
- Many employees were not going to work at the airport due to lack of salary in the 2018 shutdown, due to which many flights were canceled.
- In the 2018 shutdown, the FBI director warned that they have gone out of the money, due to which there are problems in their work.
