Taking major action against the networks linked to Iran’s ballistic missile program, the US has imposed sanctions on 32 companies and individuals from seven countries including India. These countries include China, Hong Kong, United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Iran and others. The US State Department said these institutions and individuals are part of several international supply networks supporting Iran’s missile and unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) production.
This step has been taken in support of the reimposed UN sanctions in response to Iran’s serious violations of its nuclear commitments. The banned entities also include India’s Pharmlane Pvt Ltd, which is accused of collaborating with a UAE-based firm to help supply materials such as sodium chlorate and sodium perchlorate.

What did the US Deputy Finance Minister say?
US Deputy Treasury Secretary John K. Hurley said that Iran is abusing the global financial system to raise the materials and money needed for weapons manufacturing. He said that on the instructions of President Trump, we are putting maximum pressure on Iran so that its nuclear threat can be eliminated.
Along with this, the US State Department made it clear that it will continue to take action against those institutions located in third countries, which are supporting Iran’s missile or drone programs in any form. The department said this step is necessary to maintain regional and international security.
