The parents of Katghar resident Amrita Chauhan, accused of murdering Ramkesh Meena, a student preparing for UPSC in Delhi, had broken their relationship with her a year ago. They had evicted him from their property. Amrita used to threaten her parents and other family members of sending them to jail, due to which, fed up, the parents kept a distance from her.

Rajveer Singh, resident of Milak Pandit Nagla of Katghar police station area, and his wife Kamini are teachers. The couple had ended relations with daughter Amrita Chauhan about a year ago. This information was published by the father in the newspaper in which it has been mentioned that the daughter was in bad company and he and her brother were threatened if she protested.

Amrita Chauhan was also evicted from her movable and immovable property by her parents on July 8. One brother of Amrita is studying in Delhi and the other in Moradabad. Amrita has taken admission in B.Sc Computer Science after doing B.Sc Forensic Science.

The murder was committed on the night of October 5.

Ramkesh Meena (32), a student preparing for UPSC, was murdered on the night of October 5 in Timarpur area of ​​North District. In this case, the police have arrested Amrita Chauhan (21), resident of Milak Pandit Nagla of Katghar, her ex-boyfriend Sumit Kashyap (27), resident of Bungalow village of Nagfani and Sumit’s friend Sandeep Kumar (29).

Ramkesh had obscene videos and photos of Amrita in a hard disk. He was not giving it to them despite repeated requests. On this matter, Amrita along with her former lover Sumit had conspired to murder Ramkesh. He was strangled to death on the night of October 5.

After committing the murder, they poured petrol and set the room on fire. Later, the LPG cylinder from the kitchen was opened and kept in the fire. Before setting the fire, the accused had taken the hard disk, trolley bag and other items from the room.
