The weather has now started changing in Uttar Pradesh. Cold has started showing its effect in the second week of November. Although it is not so cold that people start shivering, but slight shiver and fog in the morning and night have added coolness to the weather. The bright sunshine during the day is giving relief to the people.
The weather department says that at present the weather of UP is going to remain like this for three to four days. No major changes will be seen. If the direction of westerly winds continues like this then the effect of cold will be felt more intensely from the coming week.
On Sunday, night temperature was recorded at or around 12 degrees Celsius in more than ten districts of the state including Barabanki, Kanpur city, Prayagraj, Bareilly, Agra and Sonbhadra. The westerly winds blowing from the north-west direction have made the nights colder. A thin layer of fog in the morning also affected visibility in some areas.
According to Atul Kumar Singh, senior scientist of Meteorological Center, Lucknow, fog will increase in the morning in the districts of Terai and Purvanchal, while the presence of sunshine will continue during the day.
