In Pahalgam, the Modi Government of India not only entered Pakistan and gave the ridicule of the ruthless killing of innocent citizens, but also targeted those pseudo -sitting people who were showing poison on social media and showing Pakistan love. After Operation Sindoor, the UP Police launched a state -wide campaign on social media over the abusive, misleading and rumor content against the country.
In this action started from Meerut, so far 40 social media accounts have been identified and a case has been registered against them and 25 accused have been arrested and sent to jail. This includes 16 Instagram accounts, 23 accounts of Facebook and 1 channel of YouTube.

24×7 such content is being monitored by the special team of the social media center located at the Uttar Pradesh Police Headquarters on various platforms. Action to block these accounts by registering an FIR is being done from the cybercrime headquarters. These include 16 of Instagram, 23 of Facebook and one YouTube channels. All these accounts were posting anti -national rhetoric, fake news and harm to the image of the Indian Army.

Appeal to public: Avoid rumors, check facts
UP’s DGP Prashant Kumar appealed to the public and said, no person should post any such material on social media without verifying the facts, which causes confusion in the society. There is fear in the public or the reputation of the army is affected.
