In view of the Panchayat elections, 1,81,96,367 new voters were added in the state under the voter revision campaign. Names of 1,41,76,809 ineligible voters were deleted. After revision, 40 lakh 19 thousand 558 (3.269 percent) voters have increased in the new list as compared to the previous voter list. The deleted names include those of dead, displaced and duplicate voters. Maximum of these included 53,67,410 duplicate voters.
