It is estimated that in a year, property worth about 4 lakh crores will be recorded in women’s names. In the last three years, about 3.50 lakh properties have been named after sister and daughters in the last three years due to rules giving equal rights to women in family property in the state. This initiative of the state government has increased the financial security and autonomy of women. The Stamp and Registration Department had fixed only 5000 fees for donating property in blood relations. This made the women’s share in family property and the rules made in the state for their rights truly made them the mistress. The effect of this decision is that in just three years, the father and brothers gave the rights of daughters and sisters on about 3.50 lakh properties. At the same time, women used to get legal rights on assets of about 60 thousand before 2022.
