After the death of children due to drinking codeine cough syrup in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, Sonbhadra Police of UP has got a big success. Bhola Prasad Jaiswal, father of Varanasi resident Shubham Jaiswal, the mastermind of the cough syrup syndicate, has been arrested from Kolkata Airport. Bhola Prasad was planning to escape to Thailand. The company Shaili Traders registered in his name in Jharkhand was being used for smuggling. After this arrest, another FIR was registered against Bhola and his firm.

Let us tell you that another FIR has been registered against Shubham Jaiswal’s father Bhola Prasad Jaiswal and his firm. After the arrest of Bhola Prasad, Sonbhadra Police has registered an FIR against Shaili Traders and two other firms in Robertsganj. FIR has also been registered against three other firms in Jaunpur. In this smuggling racket, codeine mixed cough syrup was smuggled by hiding it in sacks of snacks and chips. This syrup was sent from Jharkhand to West Bengal and Bangladesh by hiding it in rice sacks.

Mastermind Shubham Jaiswal had opened a total of 173 fake firms for smuggling of cough syrup in Varanasi, Jaunpur, Azamgarh, Chandauli, Ghazipur and Bhadohi. These included 126 firms in Varanasi, 28 in Jaunpur, 3 in Azamgarh, 7 in Chandauli, 5 in Ghazipur and 4 in Bhadohi, from which cough syrup was being supplied.

Recently arrested Amit Singh Tata had also involved many of his close ones in this business and had opened their firms. These fake firms were opened with houses on rent and were closed within a few months after showing sales worth crores.

Shubham Jaiswal is still absconding, but the arrest of Bhola Prasad is the second biggest arrest in this case, after Amit Singh Tata. This matter came to light after cough syrup was found in a cart full of chips. The detained Amit Singh had revealed many secrets related to this syndicate.

At the same time, the number series ‘9797’ of Amit Singh Tata’s Fortuner is believed to be the identity of the convoy of former Purvanchal MP Dhananjay Singh, due to which the connection between the two started being discussed. However, Dhananjay Singh has demanded a CBI investigation into this matter.
