Ukraine’s Air Force said on Sunday that Russia has launched the biggest drone attack since the war that began in the last three years. According to the Air Force, Russia fired 472 drones on Ukraine. Ukrainian Air Force communication head Yuri Iganat said that along with this drone attack, Russia also fired seven missiles.
12 Ukrainian soldiers killed
On the other hand, the Ukrainian Army reported that one of its training unit was targeted in the Russian missile attack, killing 12 soldiers and injuring more than 60. The attack took place at 12.50 pm. The statement went that there was no military parade at the time of the attack or no group was gathered.

What did Ukrainian army say in the statement
The statement said that an inquiry committee has been formed, which will find out how such a large number of soldiers lost in this attack. Ukraine’s army is struggling with lack of personnel and taking steps such as avoiding gathering as a large group to avoid Russian drone attacks, as Russian drones continue to find their goals. The statement said, if it proves that the soldiers have died or they have been injured due to the action or negligence of an officer, then strict action will be taken against the responsibilities.
Russia claims- Village captured in North Sasumi region
At the same time, Russia’s Ministry of Defense quoted that its army had controlled the village of Olexiva located in the northern Sumi region of Ukraine. The Ukrainian administration on Saturday issued an order to expel people from 11 more areas of Sumi, as the Russian army is continuously moving forward in the region. Ukraine’s top military head Olexander Sirski said on Saturday that the Russian army focused on its main attacks Pokrovsk, Toresk, and Limin as well as Sumi border in the Donatsk region.
Istanbul delegation will send Ukraine: Jailonsky
Ukraine President Volodimir Jailonsky said on Sunday that his country would send his delegation for a new direct peace talks with Russia in Istanbul on Monday. Jailonsky gave this information in a statement on Telegram. He informed that this delegation will be led by Ukraine Defense Minister Rustom Umerov. Jailonsky said, we are making every effort to protect our freedom, our country and our people.
More than 40 Russian military aircraft destroyed: Ukrainian officer
A Ukraine security officer told Associated Press that Ukraine has destroyed more than 40 Russian military aircraft by attacking drones in the inner areas of Russia. The officer, on the condition of anonymity, said that it took about one and a half years to plan and execute the attack and the President Jailnsky himself monitored it.
