Two laborers working due to sudden hill breakdown near THDC barrage of Halliang have been reported to have been injured. Deputy District Magistrate Chandrashekhar Vasistha said that the administration team has left for the spot as soon as the information of the incident is received.

A landslide has occurred on Saturday at the Dame Site of the Vishnugad Pipalkoti Hydropower Project under construction at THDC in Jyotirmath in Chamoli district. Due to which eight people doing project construction work were injured. On receiving information about the incident, Tehsil administration, police, SDRF and health department team reached the spot. Where all the injured have been admitted to the hospital by rescuing.

District Magistrate Sandeep Tiwari said that no person was reported to be casualties during the incident in Hallong. Eight people have been injured in the incident. Four people are being treated at THDC Hospital. While two seriously injured people are being treated at Swami Vivekananda Hospital Peepalkoti. At the same time, plaster of a person is being done in Peepalkoti itself. While a serious injured are being referred to Medical College Srinagar.
