India’s Under-19 team is going to visit Australia in September, for which Ayush Mhatre has been elected the captain of Team India. Earlier, under the captaincy of Ayush on England Tour, Team India defeated England 3–2 in the Youth ODI series. Under his captaincy, the Indian team also drawn the Youth Test series against England. In September, 3 ODIs and two red-ball matches are to be played between India and Australia’s Under-19 teams.
Remind you that wicketkeeper batsman Abhigyan Kundu was appointed as the vice-captain of the under-19 team on the England tour. Kundu is also involved in the team for the Australian tour, but the vice -captain has been snatched away from them and given to Vihan Malhotra.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi has also reserved her place, who did not score much runs in the Test series but was the highest run player in the ODI series. In the Youth ODI series against England, Vaibhav scored 355 runs in 5 innings at an excellent average of 71. Apart from them, Rahul Kumar, Harvansh Singh, Ares Amberis, Kanishka Chauhan and Henil Patel have also kept their place safe.
Some new players who joined the Indian team are Kishan Kumar, Uddhav Mohan, Aman Chauhan and Khiln Patel. Patel could not go on a tour of England due to a stretch in the right leg muscles. In the 18 -member squad of India, Abhigyan Kundu and Harvansh Singh will have two wicketkeeper batsmen. Yudhjeet Guha, Laxman BK Kishore, ornate Rapol and Arnav Bagga have been included in the squad as a stand by/reserve player.
