Indian company Lenskart is preparing to enter the smart wearable market with its AI camera smartglasses. The name of this smartglass of the company will be B and it will be launched in December. The company says that this device will provide cutting edge technology along with comfort. Lenskart has said that it will make its AI and camera technology accessible to developers and other consumer apps, which means that these smartglasses can be integrated into apps like food delivery, fitness and entertainment etc. With this, it will not remain just a lifestyle gadget but will become a multipurpose wearable device.
These will be the features
Snapdragon AR1 Gen 1 chipset will be used in Lenskart’s B smartglasses. It will be provided with a Sony camera for taking hands-free photos and videos. Additionally, it will have a built-in AI assistant, which will run on Google Gemini. Apart from talking to the user like humans, it will be able to perform many tasks like hands-free UPI payment and live translation.
The weight will be only 40 grams
Lenskart says that the smart glasses have been designed keeping comfort in mind and its weight will be only 40 grams. It is 20 percent lighter than many smart glasses already present in the market. The company says that it wants to create India’s first full-stack wearable ecosystem. For this, the company has invested in many technology startups.
Meta Ray-Ben Smartglasses will get competition
Lenskart’s B Smartglasses will give direct competition to Meta Ray-Ban Smartglasses. Ray-Ban Meta Gen 1 smartglasses are launching in India on November 21 and will be sold through Flipkart, Amazon and Reliance Digital. Meta AI has been integrated in it, so that users will be able to ask questions as well as control the features. Soon UPI Lite payment support will be added to it, through which it will be able to make payment up to Rs 1000 on voice command.
