De m-shorad: On 27 June 2025, the US Army introduced its modern laser weapons into real military exercises for the first time through a historical practice at Fort Sil in Oklahoma. The performance is 4th Battalion, 60th Air Defense Artillery Regiment and U.S. The Army was done with the joint effort of the Rapid Capability and Critical Technology Office (RCCTO).

This system is named “Guardian” in which 50-cilovot high-energy laser is developed by raytheon technologies. It has a beam director, electro-optical/IR targeting system and KU720 multi-mission radar. Kord Technologies manages the power and cooling of this entire system.
Stryker A1 Vehicle, which is equipped with Double-V Hull (DVH) design, also protects from dangers like mine and IED on the ground. Its 450 HP Caterpillar C9 engine meets the energy requirements of the laser system. LI-NCA batteries have been installed to give energy to the laser which are recharged from the diesel generator.

This system is designed to protect the army’s division and brigade level units. This can not only deactivate drones, rotary and fixed-wing aircraft, but can also deal with dangers such as rockets, artillery and mortar.
