The ban on these works ends in Delhi, know what things will you be able to do now after the removal of Grape 3?

Delhi-NCR GRAP 3 News: The Centre’s Commission on Air Quality in Delhi-NCR on Sunday lifted Stage-3 restrictions under the Graded Response Action Plan amid a decline in air pollution levels due to favorable meteorological conditions. This information was given in an official order. Due to western disturbance, there was light rainfall in and around Delhi. Western disturbances are seasonal systems originating in the Mediterranean region that bring winter rainfall and snowfall to northwest India.

This resulted in significant improvement in the air quality of the city. The national capital’s air quality index (AQI) stood at 278 at 4 pm on Sunday, 72 points below the threshold of 350 points for implementation of phase-3 restrictions, which also includes a ban on non-essential construction work. Another western disturbance is likely to affect northwest India around January 14-15.

Grape-3 was implemented on Thursday

Non-essential construction work was banned in GRAP Phase-3, which was re-implemented on Thursday. Under Phase-3, it is necessary to conduct classes up to fifth class in ‘hybrid mode’ (online and physical form). Parents and students have the option to choose online education wherever available.

Under Phase-3, the use of BS-3 petrol and BS-4 diesel cars (four-wheelers) is prohibited in Delhi and adjoining NCR districts. Disabled persons have been exempted from this. During winter, restrictions are in place in the Delhi-NCR region under GRAP, which classifies air quality into four tiers.
