Before the Bihar Assembly elections 2025, former Congress President and opposition leader Rahul Gandhi, while addressing a public meeting in Nalanda on Thursday (October 30, 2025), said about the US President’s statement during Operation Sindoor, ‘He is the President of America, he has insulted the PM fifty times.’
The Congress leader said, ‘Trump said fifty times that I made a phone call to Narendra Modi and Modi bowed his head and stopped Operation Sindoor. He said that seven airplanes have fallen and PM Modi does not have the courage to say that Trump is lying. PM Modi did not go to America out of fear and is stealing votes here.
Congress leader mentioned former PM Indira Gandhi
Praising the country’s former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi said, ‘Indira Gandhi was a woman, but that woman had more strength than this man. Modi is a coward and I challenge that if PM Modi has the courage then he should say in a meeting in Bihar that the President of America is lying.
He said, ‘There was a time when Nalanda University was famous all over the world. People from different countries including Japan, Korea, England used to come to study. Nalanda was the center of education of the world, but today if you ask about the schools or colleges of Bihar, people will tell you that only paper leaks happen in Bihar.
Indira Gandhi was a woman, but she had more strength than this man (Narendra Modi). Narendra Modi is coward.
In 1971, Indira Gandhi was not afraid of America, did not bow down to them.
If Narendra Modi has the guts then he can say that Trump did not stop ‘Operation Sindoor’.

Rahul Gandhi spoke about the development of Bihar
The opposition leader further said, ‘Wherever I go, I see people from Bihar. You have built a place like Dubai with your blood and sweat. My question to you is that if you can build cities like Dubai and Bengaluru, the miracles you do outside Bihar, why are you not able to do it in Bihar. What is lacking in Bihar is that the energy of the people of Bihar is not being used in making Bihar.
Regarding the paper leak in Bihar, Rahul Gandhi said, ‘The youth of Bihar dreams of becoming an engineer, doctor, lawyer, asks for help from parents, after working as a laborer, people of Bihar try to educate their children, lakhs of rupees are spent in private colleges and private schools. After months of hard work, a day or two before the exam, those who have relatives and friends get the paper and the honest youth keeps watching.
‘Nitish Kumar’s remote control is in PM Modi’s hands’
Taking aim at the Bihar government, he said, ‘Nitish ji says that in twenty years he changed Bihar, brought development in Bihar, started hospitals, started universities, I want to ask you whether this is true? People told me that if someone goes to a hospital in Bihar for treatment, he does not come back, he dies there. People go to hospitals in Bihar to die, not to live, and this is the truth of your government.
The Congress leader said, ‘The remote control of Nitish Kumar is in the hands of PM Modi. Whatever button Narendra Modi presses, Nitish Kumar will start the same channel. The government is not run by Nitish, but by Modi, Shah and Nagpur. At the time of Chhath Puja, Modi ji decided that he would take bath in Yamuna, you saw, saw the photo. On one side is the truth of India, on the other side is the truth of Bihar. On the other side, full of pollution and smell, Narendra Modi created a pond of clean water. People of Delhi do not get clean water to drink, but clean water was brought for Modi ji’s bath.
‘Government engaged in destroying the Constitution by stealing votes’
Rahul Gandhi again raised the issue of abolishing the Constitution and said in the meeting, ‘People of the government are busy in abolishing the Constitution by stealing votes. He had said that he would abolish the Constitution. Somehow won the elections after stealing votes. If there was no vote theft, the India Coalition government would have been ruling.
Amit Shah and PM Modi benefit from hatred
Rahul Gandhi said, ‘Bihar needs a government of Bihar, Bihar needs a government of every caste and every religion. I said during the journey that we have to open a shop of love in the market of hatred. Hatred of farmers and laborers and the youth has no benefit.
He further said, ‘People like Amit Shah and Modi benefit from hatred. The people of Bihar suffer losses due to hatred. The people of Bihar have to protect the Constitution. These people are vote thieves, so be alert on the election day.
