IND VS SA T20: What happened in Lucknow when?
Let us tell you that the fourth T20 match between India and South Africa was canceled due to fog on Wednesday at Ekana Cricket Stadium. As per the scheduled time, the toss in the match was to be held at 6.30 pm, but after repeated inspection, the umpires found the conditions not suitable for playing. In such a situation, the next match of the series has become decisive, which will be held in Ahmedabad on December 19. On Wednesday, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) had issued an ‘orange alert’ for ‘very dense fog’ in 13 districts of eastern and central Uttar Pradesh.
Along with this, ‘Yellow Alert’ was also issued for dense fog in 27 districts from eastern to western parts of the state. Lucknow was going to host the T20 match for the first time in the month of December, but the fans had to be disappointed due to dense fog. Amidst the dense fog in the stadium, the fans were barely able to see the stands on the other side.
Early indications of the match being canceled came when the toss, scheduled for 6:30 pm, was initially postponed to 6:50 pm, but as the fog did not subside, inspections were conducted at 7:30 pm, 8:00 pm, 8:30 pm and 9:00 pm. Floodlights were seen from the batsman’s crease at 9:25 pm, after which the match was canceled at 9:30 pm local time.
