In 2024, the Supreme Court refused to ban the appointment of two Election Commissioners under the Chief Election Commissioner and other Election Commissioner Act, 2023. Along with ADR, Jaya Thakur (General Secretary of Madhya Pradesh Mahila Congress Committee), Sanjay Narayanrao Meshram, Dharmendra Singh Kushwaha and Advocate Gopal Singh have also filed petitions in the Supreme Court demanding a ban on the Act.
