Govinda married Sunita in March 1987. The couple have a daughter Tina and a son Yashvardhan. Both have been married for 38 years.

How the news of divorce started
Sunita Ahuja said in an interview to Hindi Rush for some time that she and Govinda have been living separately for the last 12 years. In the second interview, she said that she celebrates her birthday alone. Sunita’s statements went viral and reports of divorce came into the limelight. During this time it was also said in media reports that 61 -year -old Govinda is having an affair with a 30 -year -old Marathi actress. Because of this, Sunita wants to divorce after 38 years of marriage.
