American billionaire Elon Musk’s company Starlink will show demo in Mumbai today and tomorrow. The company will provide satellite internet service in India and through this demo it will demonstrate compliance with security and technical conditions. Let us tell you that Starlink has got provisional spectrum in India and this demo will be based on it. Officials from legal agencies will also be present during the demo. It is noteworthy that before launching commercial services, the company is required to show a demo to get approval.
What will be shown in the demo?
According to reports, Starlink will do this demo at a pre-determined location in Mumbai. Through this, the company will follow the security conditions of Lawful Interception System and Lawful Interception Monitoring and the technical conditions of Global Mobile Personal Communication by Satellite Authorization. Starlink is moving forward with a target of 600Gbps capacity. With this capacity of Gen 1 Constellation, the company will be able to provide one lakh connections. The Department of Telecommunications has just given provisional spectrum to Starlink to verify the security standards.
Starlink will build 9 satellite centers
Recently there was news that Starlink will set up 9 satellite stations in India in cities like Mumbai, Chandigarh, Noida, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Lucknow. This will help in providing high-speed internet to the users.
Strict conditions placed before Starlink
Starlink wanted to bring foreign technical experts to run its stations, but the government made it clear that until the company gets security clearance, only Indian citizens will operate these stations. Besides, he will also have to keep in mind that whatever data will be generated during the trial, it will be stored securely in India. Apart from this, the company will have to submit a report to the Department of Telecommunications every 15 days. It is important to have all the information including station location, user terminals and specific location of users.
