Imran Khan’s son Qasim Khan, who is lodged in Pakistan’s Adiala jail, has made a big claim regarding his health. Qasim Khan claimed that no evidence has been found of his father being alive for the last three weeks. He said that despite the court order, his family has not been allowed to meet Imran Khan.
Imran Khan’s son targeted Shahbaz-Munir
Qasim Khan alleged that something was being hidden which cannot be corrected. He says that even Imran Khan’s personal doctor has not got permission for examination for last one year. However, a jail official claims that Imran Khan is completely healthy. According to the report of news agency Reuters, Qasim said that his family has not yet had any direct contact with Imran Khan.
‘My father was kept in the death cell’
He said, “We don’t know whether my father is safe, injured or alive. This is psychological torture for us.” According to Qasim, his father has been kept in the death cell. Imran Khan’s family says that the lack of communication has increased the suspicion that a deliberate effort is being made to keep him (Imran Khan) away from the public eye.
‘State of human rights emergency in Pakistan’
Qasim and his elder brother Suleman Isa Khan live in London with their mother Jemima Goldsmith. Qasim told that he last saw his father in November 2022. “This is not just a political dispute. This is a human rights emergency. Pressure must come from all sides. We draw strength from them, but we also need to know that they are safe,” he said.
According to Pakistani media, amidst rumors of Imran Khan’s death, Shahbaz government is preparing to impose Governor’s rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK), which may cause a big blow to PTI. KPK CM Sohail Afridi has challenged the Center that if you have the courage then show it by implementing the Governor’s Rule. He said that this step could lead to the downfall of the government.
