Jharkhand has won its first Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy title. Batting first in the title match played on Thursday, Jharkhand made a huge score of 262 runs. Ishan Kishan had played a record inning of 101 runs. While chasing the target, Haryana team was reduced to 193 runs. Sushant Mishra and Bal Krishna took 3-3 wickets for Jharkhand.
Vikash Singh gave a great start to Jharkhand while defending 262 runs, he sent captain Ankit Kumar and Ashish Siwach to the pavilion in the very first over. Captain and Ashish could not even open the account, after this wicketkeeper batsman Yashvardhan Dalal and Arsh Kabir Vivek managed the innings a bit but this partnership also broke soon. Sushant Mishra bowled Arsh and gave Jharkhand the third wicket.
There was a partnership of 67 runs for the fourth wicket between Yashvardhan and Nishant Sindhu, which was broken by Anukul Roy. Anukul dismissed Sindhu (31) on the first ball of the 10th over and Yashvardhan Dalal (53) on the fourth ball of the same over. After this, the Haryana team continued lagging behind.
Jharkhand won by 69 runs
Samant Devender Jakhar scored 38 runs in 17 balls by hitting 4 sixes, he was dismissed by Bal Krishna. Haryana’s last wicket fell in the 19th over in the form of Ishant Ravi Bhardwaj. Haryana team was all out for 193 runs. With this, Jharkhand, captained by Ishant Kishan, won the final of Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy by 69 runs. This is Jharkhand’s first SMAT title.

Ishaan Kishan became the hero of the final
Batting first in the final, Jharkhand had scored a huge score of 262 runs. Captain Ishan Kishan played a historic inning of 101 runs. He scored 101 runs in 49 balls with the help of 10 sixes and 6 fours. He became the first captain in the history of Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy to score a century in the title match.
Ishan Kishan was adjudged the player of the match of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy final. Anukul Roy of Jharkhand received the Player of the Tournament award.
