Airtel has once again shocked crores of mobile users. The country’s second largest telecom company has discontinued two plans priced below Rs 200. Users will now have to spend more to avail the benefits of these plans. Airtel has hinted at making its plans more expensive. Many such reports have already come out, in which the company has made it clear that it is emphasizing on increasing ARPU i.e. Average Revenue Per User. In such a situation, the possibility of tariff hike is inevitable.

These plans were stopped

Airtel has removed two prepaid recharge plans from its website and app. Both these prepaid plans of Airtel come at the price of Rs 121 and Rs 181. Both these prepaid recharge plans of Airtel come with a validity of 30 days. These are data only plans priced below Rs 200, in which only data is offered to the users.

Now users will have to buy other plans apart from these two plans. The company offers a data-only plan for Rs 100, which offers 6GB data. The validity of this plan is 30 days. In this plan, users also get access to 20 OTT apps including SonyLIV. Apart from this, the company also has a plan of Rs 161 for the users, in which 12GB data is offered with a validity of 30 days.

Apart from this, Airtel offers another prepaid plan for less than Rs 200, which offers 12GB data. This data only plan of the company also comes with a validity of 30 days. With this data pack of Rs 195, users are offered JioHotstar subscription. Talking about expensive plans, users are offered a plan with validity of 30 days for Rs 361. In this, 50GB data is offered to the users.
