Shikhar Dhawan In Delhi HC: Delhi High Court has given big relief to former Indian cricket team player Shikhar Dhawan. The High Court has banned a company named DB Dixon Battery from selling its products using the brand value of Shikhar Dhawan. The High Court has banned the battery company from placing Shikar Dhawan’s picture in their advertisements and products. Actually, Shikhar Dhawan filed a petition against DB Dixon Battery Company in Delhi High Court. The petition claimed that even after the agreement between Dhawan and the battery company has ended, the company is using his brand value and picture to advertise its product.

What is the whole matter between Shikhar Dhawan and DB Dixon Company?

Let us tell you that this whole matter is related to an endorsement agreement. Under which the battery company was given permission to use Shikhar Dhawan’s picture for its advertising and promotion, but after 3 months a controversy arose regarding this agreement. Advocate Rizwan, appearing for Shikhar Dhawan in the court, said that until the dispute arising out of this endorsement agreement is settled through arbitration, the battery company should remove Dhawan’s picture from its products, social media and website. Apart from this, Dhawan’s lawyer has also demanded the appointment of an arbitrator in the case.

Reply sought from DB Dixon Battery Company on Dhawan’s petition

The lawyer appearing for Shikhar Dhawan said that the agreement between the battery company and Shikhar Dhawan had ended on 28 November 2024 itself. Under this agreement, he has still not received the amount of Rs 30 lakh 24 thousand. While giving interim relief to Dhawan, the bench of Justice Subramaniam Prasad of the High Court has directed the battery company that till the next hearing in this case, the battery company will not use Dhawan’s pictures for its products or publicity. Apart from this, the court sought reply from DB Dixon Battery Company on Dhawan’s petition. Now the next hearing of this case will be on 18 February 2025.
