Shah Rukh Khan will host the 70th Filmfare Award Ceremony. Shahrukh is going to host Filmfare after 17 years. Shah Rukh will share the host responsibility with Manish Paul and Karan Johar at the 70th edition of this Prestijius Award show. The actor last hosted this award function in 2008.
Filmfare has given this information on its official Instagram handle. It was written in the post- ‘Superstar, The Icon … take your heart, because the only Shah Rukh Khan is going to cook the 70th Hyundai Filmfare Awards, the most awaited with Gujarat Tourism. Which is being held on 11 October in Ek Arena, Ahmedabad.
According to the news of NDTV, Shah Rukh has expressed happiness over the arrival of Filmfare on the stage after 17 years. He said- ‘When I first caught Black Lady in my hands, Filmfare has been very close to my heart since then. This journey has been full of love, cinema and magic. It is very special for me to return as a host again on the 70th year. I promise that this night will be full of laughter, memories and brilliant celebrations of films.
At the same time, Karan Johar shared his happiness and said- ‘Filmfare is not just an award, it is an inheritance that has shaped the story of Indian cinema. Since 2000, I have participated in almost every filmfare and have hosted it many times. It would be a very memorable experience for me to be a part of it on the occasion of completion of 70 years.
Let us know that recently the nomination list of the 70th Filmfare Award was released. In this, the film Missing Ladies, directed by Kiran Rao, got the highest number of 13 nominations. Apart from this, the woman has got 8 and Bhulaiya 3 has got 5 nominations.
The film is competing with Alia Bhatt and Kareena Kapoor in the film Missing Ladies’s newcomer lead actress Nitanshi Goel and Pratibha Rant Critic Award for Best Actress category. The film’s lead actor Sparsh Srivastava has also received a nomination with Randeep Hooda, Rajkumar Rao in the Critic Award for Best Actor’s category.
All categories of winners will be announced on 11 October. This is the second time when the ceremony is kept in Gujarat.
