Shahid Afridi on Salman Agha T20 Captain: The condition of cricket within Pakistan is not very good. After the failure of the Champions Trophy 2025, Salman Aga has been given the captaincy of the T20 team, while Shadab Khan was made the vice -captain. Now Salman will captain the Pakistan team in the Pakistan-New Zealand T20 series 2025, starting from March 16. Meanwhile, former captain Shahid Afridi has erupted before Shadab Khan’s return to the team and the decision to make him vice -captain. Afridi has also raised questions on the creation of Shadab Khan as Vice-Captain and the captaincy of Salman Aga. He even said that due to wrong decisions, the condition of Pakistan cricket has become such that a patient is in ICU.
Shahid Afridi lashed out at the Pakistan Cricket Board and said that whenever a new chairman comes in PCB, he changes everything. According to PTI, he said, “All the time we talk about preparations, but when a big event comes, we flop. We start talking about improving Pakistan cricket. The truth is that Pakistan has reached ICU with wrong decisions.”

Veteran player Shahid Afridi said that coaches often keep blaming the players to save their jobs. On the other hand, the management makes coaches and players target to preserve its seat. Afridi said, “Cricket in Pakistan cannot move forward because the sword always hangs on the heads of the captain and coaches.” Shahid Afridi lashed out at T20 team’s new captain Salman Aga and said that the player whose strike rate in T20 is 79, will he lead the team?
