Pannu declared a terrorist 5 years ago SFJ Chief Gurpatwant Singh Pannu was declared a terrorist by the Government of India in 2020. A total of 104 cases have been registered against him in India. Out of these, 96 cases have been registered in different states and 8 cases have been registered by the National Investigation Agency (NIA).
Pannu has the highest number of 55 cases registered in Punjab. After this, 13-13 cases in Delhi and Haryana and other cases are registered in Chandigarh, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Assam, etc. Pannu is accused of threatening India’s constitutional officials (such as Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, NSA Ajit Doval), promoting Khalistan Referendum, spreading dissatisfaction with the Sikh community, conspiring to attack railway/airports and treason. These cases are mainly under IPC (now BNS), UAPA and IT Act.
The 8 cases registered by the NIA are under investigation, in which a new case has been registered in August 2025. These cases on Pannu have started from 1990 and have been going on till now. Pannu performs anti -India activities through SFJ organization. The Government of India has also issued a red corner notice against him, but it remains a challenge to bring him here due to being in the US and Canada.
