The Jammu and Kashmir government has intensified the preparations for the Amarnath Yatra starting from July 3. Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha held a unified command meeting in Srinagar on Tuesday to discuss the current situation of the state. He instructed the security agencies to make all arrangements with tight security for the Amarnath Yatra free from terrorist shadow.

Instructed to take strict action against terrorists and their helpers (OGWs) to completely destroy the terrorist network. The Lieutenant Governor congratulated the armed forces, security agencies and Jammu and Kashmir Police for successfully neutralizing the nefarious plans of Pakistan and terrorists through Operation Sindoor.
Sinha said that it is our priority to permanently destroy the infrastructure of terrorism in every corner of the state. It is very important to provide a full sense of safety to the common citizens. The Lieutenant Governor emphasized the need for strengthening security grids and the need for better coordination between security agencies.

LG reviewed the security arrangements for Baba Barfani’s visit in detail. Pahalgam terror attack and post -Operation Sindoor situation was also churned. The meeting was attended by Northern Command Army Chief Lt Gen Prateek Sharma, Chief Secretary Atal Dullu, DGP Nalin Prabhat along with other security agencies and administrative officers.
Appropriate steps will be taken to protect Amarnath Yatra: CM
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said that the tourism sector of Jammu and Kashmir has been affected after the Pahalgam terror attack. The government is now giving priority to the smooth and safe operation of the Amarnath Yatra. Strict security arrangements are being made for the annual pilgrimage.
